Correspondence, Chronological

The Correspondence, Chronological series contains approximately 5 linear feet, Boxes 1-5, consisting mainly of correspondence with fellow activists, colleagues, and friends. Organized chronologically by decade and year, relevant photographs, clippings, and ephemera are generally kept with the related correspondence. Undated correspondence can be found at the end of the decade bundles in which they were received, with additional undated correspondence collected at the end of the series. Outgoing correspondence from Mills is generally separated from incoming correspondence as it was received, particularly sets of letters to Robert Schlichting and correspondence Mills wrote while residing at the Blue Mountain Center in New York State during 1983 and 1986.

The Correspondence Files series, 1992-1995 consists of Jacobsen's correspondence regarding the exhibit and the controversy. Major correspondents in the files include Marjorie Heins of the ACLU and Dean Lee Bollinger of the University of Michigan Law School.

Countdown (1968)

The Countdown series (.25 linear feet) consists of materials from the 1968 film directed by Robert Altman. The screenplay was written by Loring Mandel and based on the novel The Pilgrim Project by Hank Searls. The actors in the film include James Caan, Robert Duvall, Barbara Baxley and Michael Murphy.

The photograph sub-series include contact sheets, color photographs and negatives from an apparent trip to Cape Canaveral for the Gemini II launch. Additional materials include transparencies of a space capsule in orbit.

The articles and reviews include reviews from both the original theatrical release and the television broadcast in January of 1978.

Forms part of the Janice Bluestein Longone Culinary Archive. This Collection includes catalogs from the 1880s-1920s for kitchen and household products, such as knives, cleavers, fruit presses, cider mills, mop wrinters, boot and glove fasteners, ice cream freezers, washboards, garden implements, stove pipes, bread boxes, and jelly moulds. It also includes a small number of catalogs for food products, such as canned vegetables, kosher meats and sausages, salt fish, and pickles.
