Lansing, Michigan bureau of United Press International. Collected informational files relating to news and events in the state of Michigan. The files consist mainly of UPI wire reports, press releases, correspondence, and clippings. The files also include collected biographical information about, and distributed press releases from, Michigan legislators.

The UPI State Capitol Bureau informational files collection is broken up into two series: Background Files, and Michigan Politician Files. Each series has been retained in its original order with original folder headings.

The 27th Regiment Michigan Volunteer Infantry served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Portraits of members, mainly officers, of the 27th Michigan Infantry during the Civil War.

This collection consists of portraits of members, mainly officers, of the 27th Michigan Infantry during the Civil War.

Photographs taken during the Polar Bear Expedition to northern Russia, and accumulated by several veterans; include scenes of American soldiers in camp and on patrol, of life in Archangel and in Russian villages, and of battlefields, fortifications, armored trains, ships, airplanes, burial rites, and graves. Also includes a list of photographs and their captions.

About 185 photographs. The photographs include scenes of life in Archangel, armored trains, villages, port facilities, rural life, men in barracks, fortifications, prisoners, group portraits, men on patrol and in camp, the railroad, an airplane, burials, and graves. Also included is a "List of official U.S. photographs illustrative of the activities of the North Russian Expeditionary Force" which contains descriptions, including names and locations, of ca. 575 Signal Corps photos, arranged by photo number.

Oral history project created by the Historical Society for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, an organization dedicated to promoting the history of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Contains digital files of transcripts and chronologies created from the project.

The collection is composed of oral histories surrounding the Historical Society for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. The collection is organized in one series of materials from the Federal Court Oral History Project. The collection is made up of digital files containing interview transcripts and chronologies which outline the educational and professional accomplishments of the project participants.

There are a greater number of transcripts than chronologies as the collection does not include a chronlogies for every participant interviewed.

Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church was founded by Father George W. Hurley in 1923 in order “to promote the study of the science, phenomena and philosophy of spiritual religion” and is based in Detroit. The record group includes some material from the early years of the church’s operation, but with the bulk of the records documenting church activities after the year 2000.

The record group is arranged in three series: Background, Church Activities, and Publications.

Office responsible for planning and managing the university's official and ceremonial events, including commencements, faculty and student honors convocations, and development events such as University Seminars and President's Weekends; also manages operation of the President's House and Inglis House. Consists of files of events arranged by year including planning files, scripts, programs, guest lists, decoration, and event set up. Many event files include photographs; particularly University Seminars where faculty gave presentations to key university supporters. Some audio-visual materials are also present, including audiocassettes, digital recordings, and videocassettes.

Records of the University and Development Events office include files on major recurring campus events as well as special dedications and occasions. Events files often contain planning materials, correspondence, programs, scripts, invitation lists, newspaper clippings, and photographs. Photographs often depict decorations and event setup as well as those in attendance. The records are arranged within two series: Event Files and Audio-Visual Material.

In-house architectural office of the University of Michigan. Records include project files for new University buildings, and additions to, and alterations of, existing structures; include files for Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint sites and off-campus projects with documentation for numerous medical-related buildings; contain minutes, correspondence with University officials, architects and contractors; photographs, brochures and conference notes; also data sheets relating to specific building projects, including cost, size, names of architects and contractors, and construction period.

The records of the University Architect's Office consist of twenty (20) linear feet and three oversize volumes. Records include correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, architectural drawings, and photographs spanning the years from 1950 to 1989. The records document the numerous construction and renovation projects undertaken by the university on the Ann Arbor campus as well as on the Dearborn and Flint campuses. The materials are arranged in two series: University Architects and University Buildings Files. The bulk of the records are comprised of building files

There are three oversize volumes of photographs regarding the Administration Building (LS&A Building), Mary Butler Markley Hall, and the Outpatient Clinic of the University Hospital, which have been removed to an oversize location.

Student-controlled bookstore at the University of Michigan (established 1970, ceased operation in 1987.) Minutes and memoranda of board of directors, financial records, labor negotiation files, and other subject files; and photographs.

The records of the University Cellar have been arranged into three series: History and background; Administrative records; and Former employees files. The bulk of the records concerns the administration of University Cellar with extensive documentation of its financial operations and labor negotiations with the Industrial Workers of the World. Included are board of directors minutes and minutes of the Store, Retail, and Operations Councils.

Correspondence, reports, and minutes detailing effort to establish a University College at the University of Michigan.

The University College record group is comprised of materials documenting the project at its peak from 1926 to 1930, with some relevant printed matter dating back to 1922. The records offer a fairly complete administrative history of the University College development, with a minor emphasis on criticism and feedback. Materials are divided into two series: Committee Files and Correspondence, Statements and Miscellaneous Files. Of the two, the Committee Files is more valuable in providing a comprehensive view of the University College project.

Committee files consisting of reports, correspondence, minutes, and subject files; also files relating to Educom, a corporation established to promote collaboration in the development, operation, and use of technology in higher education and research.

The records of the University Committee on Computer Policy and Utilization (4 linear feet) cover the years from 1964 to 1979 and include reports, correspondence, minutes, and subject files. The records are divided into two series, Committee Files and EDUCOM Files. The records in both series are arranged in alphabetical order by topic.
