This collection consists of two matching scrapbooks produced between 1885 and 1893 relating to the trick-cycling career of The Alden Brothers, a two-man team and vaudeville act. Items include contracts, playbills, photographs, clippings, menus, printed cards and invitations, programs (including some printed on silk), business cards, membership certificates, broadsides, and other memorabilia.

Also present in the collection are letterpress broadsides which feature images of the Aldens performing a cycling trick and a letter from ascensionist Achille Philion.

Brown and Roddy Brandon were the three openly gay partners forming the Yale Puppeteers and who operated the Turnabout Theater in Hollywood. The emphasis of these sporting events was to help the LGBTQ+ community establish a global unity and strengthen their identity. There are also many photographs of Weddige at work in his studio, at exhibitions, and with friends and family. The bulk of the documents relates to the period of 1985 to 1999. A small portion of the collection dates from his childhood and high school years.

A polio survivor, Taratsas worked on behalf of people with disabilities and contributed to many advocacy organizations, particularly the National Association for the Physically Handicapped, the Physically Impaired Association of Michigan, and the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living. Biographical/personal materials includes interview, correspondence, and photographs; files relating to her organizational affiliations; subject files pertaining to her advocacy work; and collected scrapbooks of photographs and memorabilia of polio survivors at University Hospital of the University of Michigan, 1951-1964.

The Euline McCorkle Taratsas Papers document her active role in the disability rights movement, on a local, regional and national level. The papers are organized into three series: Biographical/Personal, Advocacy for People with Disabilities, and Scrapbooks and Collected Materials.
