University of Michigan chapter of the historically Black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. The collection includes photographs, event flyers, news articles, yearbook clippings, and documents tracing chapter history.

The A New Trotter Initiative (University of Michigan) records contains digital files from the "Core Team", the group of students who directly collaborated with university staff and design contractors to plan the new facility for the William Monroe Trotter Multicultural Center. Materials include meeting agendas and minutes, working papers, presentation materials, photographs and survey data. The collection highlights the motivations behind establishing a new location for the Trotter House on Central Campus and the importance of the center as a multicultural space for students. It also highlights the collaborative process used to select a new location for the Trotter Center and the interior design of the center.

The collection is organized into one series of records. The Core Team series is further organized into two subseries, the Working Documents subseries which contains materials from 2015-2016 and the Retired Documents subseries which contains materials from earlier stages of the project in 2013-2014.

Founded in 1841, the College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA) is the liberal arts college of the University of Michigan, encompassing over 100 academic departments and non-departmental centers, programs, institutes, museums, and laboratories. The collection contains publications from the college's units, subordinate units, and student groups, and includes miscellaneous announcements, annual reports, bibliographies, brochures, bulletins, calendars, directories, flyers, guidebooks, manuals, newsletters and reports of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and the Summer Session. College of Literature, Science and the Arts publications (11.5 linear feet and 1.48GB (online)) include addresses, annual reports, bibliographies, brochures, bulletins or college catalogs, by-laws, calendars, catalogs, directories, ephemera (including flyers, invitations, posters, and programs), manuals, monographs, newsletters, proceedings marking the centennial of the college, questionnaires, regulations, reports, and web archives. A large percentage of the publications are bulletins and course catalogs of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LS&A) and its predecessor, the Department of Literature, Science and the Arts. There is also extensive information on the Honors Program, the Office of Student Academic Affairs, and LS&A Student Government.

The Inter-Cooperative Council at Ann Arbor is an organization established to coordinate the activities of cooperative houses founded and operated by University of Michigan students. Their records are comprised of minutes, office files, and newsletters, as well as organization-level topices and related research. The collection also contains records of student cooperative, the Socialist House.

The records of the ICC at Ann Arbor cover the years 1932 to 2012 and are divided into ten series: Minutes, Office Files, Printed Materials, Events and Programs, Organizational Topical Files, Correspondence Files, Collected Research Materials, House Records, External Organizations, and Audio-Visual Materials.

Researchers should note that because of the differences between ICC office organizational systems and the individual processing archivists working on the collection, topics and materials might be found in multiple series.

Non-profit, activist organization that supports, empowers, and facilitates communication among Asian American students and student organizations in the American Midwest. The University of Michigan has periodically hosted MAASU's spring conference since 1991. The collection includes financial records, lists, meeting minutes and notes, digital photographs, and schedules.

It documents the planning and execution of the Midwest Asian American Student Union's (MAASU) 2013 spring conference, the theme of which was Magnify: Explore Yourself, Amplify: Inspire Others. This event was held at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and organized by the university's MAASU student chapter.

The National Council of Negro Women, University of Michigan Ann Arbor Collegiate Section records consists of a digital copy of the organization's 2017 constitution obtained from their Maize Page as well as digital outreach materials captured from their Twitter account, @ncnw-um. The outreach materials include event fliers, images of students at events, and advertisements for open positions in the NCNW-UM section, among others.

The University of Michigan News and Information Services (NIS) acts as the University's media relations office, disseminating information about university programs, research, events, and faculty activities. This collection includes audiovisual recordings of press releases, news briefs distributed to television and radio stations, web-based podcasts and digital videos, and externally produced materials about the University and its activities. Additionally, researchers will find copies of University-produced media from the 1970s to the early 2000s in both audio and video formats.

The University of Michigan News and Information Services Audiovisual Materials contains sound and visual materials produced by the University of Michigan to share with the media as well as materials relevant to the promotion and image of the University. News and Information Services also publishes materials featuring achievements by scholars, recordings of speeches by invited speakers, and media appearances by or about University officials, programs, and scholars.

Many of these publications are widely distributed and may be published at regular intervals. The Sub-Unit Publications series contains publications from subordinate offices, departments, programs and organizations within the School of Nursing. The Topical Publications contain brochures, calendars, invitations, and programs from milestone anniversaries and other celebrations. The Student Publications series contains newsletters published by School of Nursing students. The Archived Website series contains captured websites from or related to the School of Nursing from 2002 onward.

Box 27: 1930-1990, contains a biography of distinguished U-M business school professor C.K. Prahalad; a volume of selected writings by distinguished U-M accounting professor William A. Paton; examination questions; faculty bibliographies; and reports.

Box 28: 1932-1972, contains proceedings from the National Symposium of the State of the Black Economy (1972) as well as the Michigan Accounting Conference (1932-1949; 1968-1970). Also included are handbooks; and reports.

Box 29: 1970-2011, contains reports and working papers including annual reports from 2009-2011.

Box 30: 1958-2013, contains journals; reports; business and working papers; proceedings from the 1958 Social Security conference; and additional publications.

Box 31: 1949-2012, contains reports; UMBS Public Policy papers (2002); volumes 1-4 of the Michigan Journal of Business (2008-2011); and additional publications.

University of Michigan umbrella and activist student organization that supports and represents different Asian/Pacific Islander American (A/PIA or APIA) organizations and individuals, highlights issues related to the A/PIA community, and builds relationships with allied organizations on and off the University of Michigan campus. The collection documents aspects of A/PIA student communities at the university and includes administrative records, program files and publications, topical files, and correspondence.

The records of the United Asian American Organizations provide a good source of information on issues pertaining to the Asian/Pacific Islander American community and other groups at the University of Michigan. Materials are dated from 1986-2001 and include consitutitons and related foundational documents, correspondence, financial records, meeting agendas and minutes, publications, and topical files.
