Collection of bound and miscellaneous manuscripts relating to the history of Latin America between 1518 and 1882. These materials pertain to laws, religious doctrines, indigenous cultures and interactions with Europeans, city ordinances, land holdings, and other subjects. In addition to this finding aid, the Clements Library has created the following descriptions of each volume in the collection: Latin America Collection: Volume Descriptions.

The Latin America collection is made up of 57 volumes of miscellaneous items related to New Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Guatemala. The items span from 1518 to 1882. The materials came to the Clements Library from multiple dealers and donors between 1928 and 1951. The New Spain series is made up of volumes that broadly cover the areas under Spanish control in Latin America. The Mexico, Peru, and Guatemala series is made up of materials that specifically address each of those areas. Topics addressed in the letters and documents include laws, religious doctrines, indigenous culture and interactions with Europeans, city ordinances, land holdings, viceregal matters, and many other subjects. Of particular note is a 1760 manuscript copy of a 1587 original of three religious dramas in the Nahuatl language. In 2023, an 1822 contemporary manuscript copy of Manuel de la Barcena's Manifiesto al Mundo: La Justicia y Necesidad de la Independencia de Nueva-España was added to Volume 38.

Historical and other background information; vestry records include correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, registers of church services, and other subject files; records of church organizations; files pertaining to church camp and special church services; printed materials, and photographs.

The records of St. Andrew's Memorial Episcopal Church (1886-1987) contain items such as meeting minutes, reports, service bulletins, publications and photographs which tell the story of the church. The records are divided into five main series, Background information; Vestry Records, Register of church services; Registers of baptisms, burials, marriages, communicants; Church Organizations, Church Activities, Printed Materials and Photographs.

The records of St. James parish include vestry minutes, 1924-1993; baptism, confirmation, marriage, and burial records, 1926-1993; bulletins, administrative records; records of the Episcopal Church Women and other parish organizations; and photographs. This record group has been divided into nine series covering the period from 1923 soon after the church began conducting services until 1993 when the church members decided to disband.

This collection is made up of two volumes related to members and pew ownership in the St. Michael's and Zion churches of Philadelphia. One volume is an index of members, church affiliations (St. Michael's or Zion), and pew numbers (ca. 1770s?). The other is a register of pew ownership for Zion Church, 1834-1853.

This collection is made up of two volumes related to members and pew ownership in the St. Michael's and Zion churches of Philadelphia.

The first volume is a 50-page index to a pew register for the St. Michael's and Zion Lutheran churches of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (ca. 1770s?). The location of the pew register is currently unknown. The index reflects the division of the Philadelphia German Lutheran congregation between St. Michael's and Zion churches. It includes the names of members of the congregation, occupations (occasionally), church affiliation (St. Michael's or Zion), and pew number. The entries are grouped alphabetically by surname.

The second volume, titled Applicationen für Sitze, contains records of pew purchases and ownership in the Zion Church from October 1834 to December 1853. The recorder noted the names of parishioners who purchased seats (most often for $1.00) and pew numbers. Manuscript and partially printed receipts and documents regarding individuals' ownership of pews are laid into the volume. The church's president signed some of the receipts.

Church established as mission Sunday School in 1884 and disbanded in 1988 because of declining membership. Registers of baptisms, marriages, burials and communicants; registers of church services; vestry minutes, annual parish meeting minutes, bishop's committee minutes, correspondence, budgets and treasurer's annual reports, and photograph albums.

The records of St. Thomas Episcopal Church document the history of an urban Detroit church and span the years 1885 to 1988. The record groups has been arranged into the following series: registers of baptisms, burials, marriages, communicants; registers of church services; vestry minute books; office files, and photograph albums.
