The Sarkisian Collection contains a digitized selection of Leo Sarkisian's field recordings and broadcast reels of traditional and popular African music. Leo Sarkisian founded the Voice of America’s “Music Time in Africa” program, which has been airing for over 47 years. Music from that program is available on the CDs available in the Music Library, and are further described on VOA's "African Music Treasures" blog
