RESTRICTIONS:

The Collection is owned by the BBG broadcast service Voice of America, compiled by Leo Sarkisian in the scope of his employment with VOA's African Service. In 2009, VOA entered an agreement with the University of Michigan Library to digitize the reels that comprise the Collection for preservation purposes and to provide access for teaching, research, and other non-commercial purposes. This is a continuing relationship in which VOA provides the UM Library with reels for digitization on a revolving basis, thus additional materials will be added over time.

Neither the University of Michigan nor the VOA has any additional information regarding copyright, privacy, or other legal rights that may be associated with the Collection or copies thereof for uses beyond those designated. You must make an independent analysis of any use you want to make that falls beyond the designated preservation, teaching, research, and other non-commercial purposes and are solely responsible for such analysis and resulting use of the Collection materials.

CDs must be used within the Music Library, where they are housed.
