The Hobart Taylor, Jr. papers document his work in various staff positions in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, Democratic Party activities and his service on several government committees and work with business and civic organizations relating to civil rights, equal employment opportunities and economic development. The Personal series consists of biographical data, newspaper clippings, and printed material about Hobart Taylor. Taylor's addresses, speeches and remarks are also contained in this personal series; they are arranged chronologically from 1961-1980. There are also three oral history interviews in which Taylor discusses his political work, his contributions to the President's Committee on Equal Employment Opportunities and Plans for Progress, and his contributions to the civil rights movement.
