Biographical / Historical:

Daniel Bell, Jr., was born in Tottenham, England, on August 11, 1753, the son of Quakers Daniel Bell (1726-1802) and Catherine Barclay (1727-1784) and a brother of author Priscilla Bell Wakefield (1750-1832); he was also a great-grandson of Robert Barclay. The Bell family lived in Stamford Hill (now part of London). Daniel Bell, Jr., traveled to Canada in 1777.
