Bylaws, clippings, and scattered correspondence relating to activities of organization. The collection also includes copies of letters asking for advice about coming out or gay friends or relatives. These letters are redacted to mask names and addresses.

Biographical / Historical:

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a non-profit organization support and information group working on the behalf of the GLBT community and its family members, friends, and allies. The Ann Arbor, Mich. chapter also has a Parents-only group. PFLAG helps to cope with an adverse society, educates to enlighten an ill-informed public, and advocates to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. PFLAG Ann Arbor meeting participants share questions and concerns, as well as stories of successes and joys in an atmosphere of absolute confidentiality and trust.
