Scope and Content:: The Grand Ledge, Michigan photograph collection includes photographs of retail establishments and a view showing Looking Glass Bridge.
Biographical / Historical:: Grand Ledge, Michigan is located on the traditional territory of the Pottawatomi, Chippewa, and Ottawa People. The earliest settlers arrived between 1847 and 1850, naming the village Grand Ledge for the sandstone rock ledges that rise above the Grand River. The village was incorporated by Michigan in 1871.
