Biographical / Historical:

The Woman's Relief Corps is the auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). The National Woman's Relief Corps were established in 1883, to preserve the memory of the GAR.

The Welch Relief Corps (Post no. 218) of Ann Arbor, Mich. was organized on January 22, 1891.
