Scope and Content:

The Darwin E. White photograph collection consists of panoramic photographs (December 15, 1912 and January 26, 1913) of Barton Dam on the Huron River, Ann Arbor (Mich.), under construction.

Biographical / Historical:

White was born in Allegan, Mich. on March 29, 1872, to Heman and Jane Buskirk White. He opened his Ann Arbor photography studio in circa 1898. In 1899, he married Agnes Perkins, who worked with her husband in their studio for several decades.

Darwin E. White passed away in April, 1951.
