Scope and Content:
Trammell's collection consists primarily of photocopies of records from the National Archives documenting the search and retrieval of Trammell's body from Russia. Also, photocopies of photographs of Trammell and his grave.
Biographical / Historical:
Resident of Clio, Kentucky served as a Private, Company A., 339th Infantry during the American intervention in North Russia, 1918-1920. Trammell was killed in action in Maximovskaya, Russia March 3, 1919.
The collection was donated by Chris Pennington, of Corbin, Kentucky, in 2007 (Donor no.: 9876 ).
