Background

Scope and Content:

This collection is comprised of group portraits of Sunday School on the church steps (ca. 1916) with Pastor Holm and his wife at center of the top row; Danish Young People's Society outing (1922); and meeting of the Dansk sammensluttet ungdom (Danish American Young People's League) (1926).

Biographical / Historical:

Ina Christensen was born February 18, 1909 to Niels Peter and Mathilde Knudsen Anderson. She became a member of the Danish Sisterhood Lodge #125 in 1927, and was also a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Detroit, Michigan. Christensen died on November 11, 2009.
