Summer engineering camp of the University of Michigan at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Records include correspondence, annual reports, and other papers relating to the establishment and administration of the camp; includes papers of camp directors Joseph B. Davis and Clarence T. Johnson; also includes records of predecessor surveying camps, including the Bogardus Engineering Camp at Douglas Lake, Michigan; and photographs.

The Camp Davis record group documents the summer camps for training students in the techniques of surveying and geodesy conducted by the College of Engineering's Department of Geodesy and Surveying. The bulk of the material concerns Camp Davis and Jackson Hole, Wyoming but also includes material relating to earlier camps at Douglas Lake and other sites in Michigan. The records are organized in five series: Histories; Michigan Engineering Camp, Early Sites, 1874-1912; Bogardus Engineering Camp, Douglas Lake, Michigan, 1906-1929; Camp Davis, Jackson, Wyoming Site, 1929-; and Photographs.

Fred DeWitt papers, 1939-1979

Secretary of the engineering class of 1929 of the University of Michigan. Files relating to class reunions, including group photographs; also various subject files.

The DeWitt papers are in effect the records of the class of 1929 and are primarily concerned with class reunions. The first reunion was the 10th, held in 1939, followed by the 20th in 1949. Thereafter reunions were held every five years through the 50th reunion. The 1929 Engineers were a well organized group. They printed and distributed class directories in conjunction with their reunions and kept in close contact throughout the years. The collection includes letters, announcements and reports on activities for each of the reunions. Of note is a questionnaire filled out during the 20th reunion which asked about the present activities of the graduates, their occupations and families. Also included is a brief section on changes made to the school of engineering prior to the proposed Michigan engineering centennial in 1954. Other information consists of photographs taken at the various reunions and log books of dues and guest registers.

Ralph W. Muncy papers, circa 1830-1992

Socialist Labor Party member, later member of the League for Socialist Reconstruction. Correspondence, campaign files, audio-tapes, and other materials largely concerning his work with the State Central Committee of the Socialist Labor Party and Socialist Reconstruction, 1928-1992; and collected family materials including letters and memoirs of Levi Muncy, soldier during the Civil War; also photographs.

The Ralph Muncy collection consists primarily of papers relating to his interest in socialist political activities. A smaller portion of the collection documents the involvement of his wife, Lydia B. Muncy, in the socialist cause. Together they also collected materials relating to the history of their families (Muncy-Baird). Included is much original family material dating back into the nineteenth century. The Ralph Muncy papers have been arranged into the following series: Correspondence; Topical Files; and Ralph Muncy and Lydia Baird Muncy Personal.
