Research files of Garry D. Packard, a local historian from Plymouth, Michigan. Documents, articles, spreadsheets, and maps containing research and historical information about churches, graveyards, veterans, and historical businesses in Plymouth, Canton, and other areas in Southeast Michigan.

The collection contains digital files of collected, transcribed, and indexed materials relating to the history of Plymouth Township, Mich., and the surrounding area, including school records, census indexes, birth, marriage and death indexes, cemetery indexes (Parkview, Old Baptist, Presbyterian, Riverside, and Shearer Cemetery), indexes of veterans, and other materials. Also contains maps of Riverside and Old Baptist Cemeteries and a biographical sketch of American Revolutionary War veteran Titus Vespatian Hoisington.

Grand Rapids, Michigan family, involved in furniture making and other businesses, also active in local state and Republican Party politics and businessmen's associations. Papers include family papers and correspondence, business records, scrapbooks and visual materials.

The Sligh family collection consists of the personal and business papers of the four generations of Slighs mentioned in the biographical introduction: James W. Sligh, Charles R. Sligh, Charles R. Sligh, Jr., and Robert L. Sligh. Although there is some overlap, the files have been arranged into seven series, one for each of these three Slighs, one for the Sligh Furniture Company and related family businesses, and one each for Newspaper clippings and Scrapbooks, and Visual Materials.

The Washtenaw County Historical Society records include collected historical documents and photographs relating to the people, events, and history of the county, its cities and townships. There are also administrative records of the organization, including minutes of meetings, subjects relating to Society programs and projects, and financial miscellanea.
