The Dudley M. Phelps papers contain substantial information related to reparations calculations after World War II and the study of marketing and distribution practices in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Researchers will also be interested in information regarding the first graduating class of the University of Michigan School of Business Administration. The collection comprises of 2.6 linear feet composed mainly of correspondence, memoranda, research notes, reports, and photographs. The collection is arranged into four series: UM School of Business Administration, Department of State, Post-Retirement, and Visual Materials.

The collection has been arranged into six series: Biographical/Personal, Correspondence, Topical Files, Speeches and Writings, Career Materials, 1926-1948 and Career Materials, 1948 to 1985. Biographical and autobiographical materials and photographs have been placed at the beginning of the collection. In general, much of the material relates to Professor Wernette's writings and to his relationship with the business community. Little material about his teaching career at the University of Michigan or about the Michigan Business Review is included.

The Margaret Elliott collection, arranged alphabetically, pertains to her professional career. Most of the papers focus on her research of women's roles in business and professional careers in the World War II era. The papers provide valuable insight into the way women viewed their role in higher education and the workforce in the 1930s and 1940s. One folder in the papers, "Dissertations and thesis critiques," contains interesting information about the topics students were choosing for their dissertations in the World War II era. This file is closed to researchers for seventy five years from the date of creation because it contains personally identifiable student information.

The Marvin Niehuss Papers document his career as Law School faculty member and university administrator. The papers include correspondence and reports concerning University affairs and some course materials from Niehuss' law classes. Included here are files relating to Niehuss' involvement in the University decision to fire three professors investigated by the House Un-American Activities Committee, and in the review of the University's compliance to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The Niehuss papers have arrived in three separate accessions. Researchers should be aware that there is significant overlap within the three accessions. Specific topics can be tracked across the various accessions. The papers are organized into two series: a small Miscellaneous File, 1945-1951, and Topical Files, 1923-1972.

The Ross School of Business Publications, 1922-2017, (31 linear feet, 49.6 MB) are divided into five series: Unit Publications, Sub-Unit Publications, Topical Publications, Student Organization Publications, and the Archived Ross School of Business Website. The publications include addresses, annual reports, faculty bibliographies, brochures and pamphlets, bulletins and college catalogs, directories, manuals, newsletters, programs, proposals, reports, statistics, yearbooks, and digital file formats. The collection also contains publications from the Bureau of Business Research, the Bureau of Industrial Relations, the Center for International Business Education, the Division of Research, the Executive Education Center, the Institute for International Commerce, the Program in International Business, and the Public Utility Executive Program. The collection also includes conference publications from meetings held at the university and sponsored or co-sponsored by the Ross School of Business Administration. There are also some publications describing various development campaigns and the Summer Session. Also includes the publication entitled "Dividend". Some publications (or their successors) may no longer be available in print but are available on the school's website.

Box 27: 1930-1990, contains a biography of distinguished U-M business school professor C.K. Prahalad; a volume of selected writings by distinguished U-M accounting professor William A. Paton; examination questions; faculty bibliographies; and reports.
Box 28: 1932-1972, contains proceedings from the National Symposium of the State of the Black Economy (1972) as well as the Michigan Accounting Conference (1932-1949; 1968-1970). Also included are handbooks; and reports.
Box 29: 1970-2011, contains reports and working papers including annual reports from 2009-2011.
Box 30: 1958-2013, contains journals; reports; business and working papers; proceedings from the 1958 Social Security conference; and additional publications.
Box 31: 1949-2012, contains reports; UMBS Public Policy papers (2002); volumes 1-4 of the Michigan Journal of Business (2008-2011); and additional publications.

This collection of University of Michigan architectural blueprints, renderings, and blueline prints has been drawn together from different sources. The provenance is not always clear, though most of the sheets probably originated with the Buildings and Grounds Department of the University. The collection is selective and does not include all campus buildings. Significant buildings are included, however, as are important architects and architectural firms. Represented in the collection are the works of Albert Kahn, Alexander J. Davis, Pond and Pond, the Chicago architectural firm, C. William Palmer, William L. Jenney, and York and Sawyer of New York.
