The Robert Gallo series is a large collection concerning scientist Robert Gallo, one of the original AIDS researchers, whose research was surrounded by controversy. Included in this collection is correspondence between various scientists, with academic journals regarding Gallo and his colleagues’ complicity in the controversial discovery of HIV. Also included are news articles (a group of which come specifically from the journalist, John Crewdson), academic articles and federal papers documenting the creation of various oversight organizations as the Office of Scientific Integrity and the Office of Research Integrity, which came out of the controversy.
