The bulk of the Esther Delzell Papers is made up of letters from Samuel Brownell. His letters, written while he was at Yale, and later at the New York State College for Teachers at Albany, describe the completion of his Ph.D. and the beginnings of his professional career. The letters, written nearly every day, are loving and often funny. They provide a good sense of his day to day experiences and demonstrate his focus on his new career. Other materials in this series include Delzell's diary, kept between 1915 and 1917, a few items relating to her education and teaching post, and letters and cards from friends, 1917-1927.

The Visual Materials series consist of two print photographs and many digital photographs. The photographs range from pre-mobilization activities to active duty in Afghanistan. Also included are two brief videos from So's deployment in Afghanistan.

The Website series documents the academic programs, accomplishments, resources, events, and people at the School of Natural Resources and Environment. Content includes important news and announcements, publications (such as newsletters and course catalogs), and information about admissions, curriculum, degree requirements, faculty, and the overall mission of the School. The website series is arranged chronologically and includes content captured by the Internet Archive starting in 1997 as well as captures provided by Bentley Library archivists in 2002, 2004, and 2008. The Photographs and Audiovisual Materials (0.8 linear feet) series contains miscellaneous prints and scattered negatives of School of Dentistry students, professors, and interior and exterior views of the school. It also contains a set of audio recordings "Dental Series" in 45 rpm on one side, and 33 1/3 rpm on the other side, which discuss care of teeth, as well as three motion picture films in 16 mm format. Also included in the series is a set of approximately 60 slides and 16 prints from the collection of Dentistry Professor Joseph T. Hartsook, related to a 1965 U-M expedition to Egypt.

Unit Publications include annual reports, bulletins (course catalogs), directories and several newsletters, among which is New Edition. The directory, Who's Here, is continued in the Information and Library Studies Student Association (ILSSA) publications record group. The series Library Science Studies will be found under the heading "Reports".

The series contains a digital copy of the 2012 Program Presentation to the American Library Association Office for Accreditation.

The Office Files series constitute the central file of the School of Information. It includes internal administrative correspondence, correspondence with the university's central administration and other academic departments and with professional organizations, other library schools, foundations and accrediting agencies. The organization of the files into chronological subseries reflects the way in which the files were transferred to the archives, or in some instances, changes in school administration. There is some overlap in time span of the subseries and some continuity of files between subseries. Each of the subseries is arranged in a single alphabetical sequence

The Office Files, 1969-2001 subseries is arranged alphabetically and covers a period from 1969 to 2001. The series is particularly rich in the documentation of the discussion and changes pertaining to the school's curriculum. The series includes meeting minutes and notes of the curriculum committee from 1969 to 1990 as well as minutes from the Curriculum Task Force (1992-1995). A group of 5.25" computer disks that are mainly unlabeled and not dated are located in boxes 42 and 43.

The Unit Publications series contains printed material published specifically by the School of Kinesiology. These publications are defined as being widely distributed and may be published at regular intervals. They are arranged by genre of the publication. Previous to 1990 this unit was known as the Department of Physical Education and the Division of Physical Education.

The Unit Publications include annual reports published from 1987 to 1989. There are also bulletins or course catalogs which describe courses offered by the Division of Physical Education and the Division of Kinesiology for the period from 1987 to 1998. The researcher should consult the School of Education Publications (0347, Bimu, C202, 2) for bulletins, from 1921 to 1984, with descriptions of courses offered by the Department of Physical Education. The electronic version of the School of Kinesiology bulletin, from 1998 to the present, is the authoritative source of admission information, course offerings and degree requirements for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Many of the bulletins contain addenda as well as student forms, the latter of which are record sheets used for tracking progress in program requirements and electives for the school's different programs.

The history Kinesiology: A Michigan Tradition, 1894-1994 was written to celebrate the centennial of physical education instruction on the University of Michigan campus. This series also contains several manuals describing the study of physical education for both men and women as well as an information handbook for majors, minors and dance students. There are also three newsletters found in this series. The Division of Physical Education Alumni Newsletter covers the years 1985 through 1986. The alumni newsletter Movement was first published in 1988 and continues to the present. It describes the activities and research of the faculty, staff, students and alumni. The 1984 issues of Physical Education Newsletter are available here. The researcher should consult the School of Education Publications for 1983 issues.
