Constitution, by-laws, minutes of meetings, reports, membership lists, scrapbooks, correspondence and exhibit materials.

The records of the Ann Arbor Art Association cover a sixty year span and consist of meeting minutes, treasurer's reports, membership lists and materials, exhibit notices, lists of participating artists and their work, newspaper clippings covering the various exhibits, and other records of community involvement. The bulk of the records is concentrated on the administration of the Association and its exhibits and outreach programs. Many of these records were collected and maintained by Mrs. Roy Holmes, a life member of the Association, and Professor Jean Paul Slusser, the official historian of the Association during the 1950s and 1960s. The record group has been divided into two series: Organizational Records and Exhibits and Outreach.

The records of the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan include council proceedings (1834-1919); assessment rolls (1830, 1839, and 1958-1959); scrapbooks relating to city government (1904-1951); and records and photographs detailing the city's waste management and recycling program beginning in the 1980s. Miscellaneous materials include plats of the wards, 1912; election returns, 1847-1852; records of the former city of East Ann Arbor and the Village of Ann Arbor (Lower Town); and minutes of the Ann Arbor Park Commission (1905-1956). Also of interest are files concerning the Ann Arbor Railroad and the city's street railway and interurban system.

The record group includes minutes of meetings, membership materials, and treasurer's records of the Young Men's Christian Association dating from 1902 to 1933. The history of the women's association is documented in greater detail with minutes and scrapbooks, dating back to 1894 and extending to the mid-1950s. There is very little material from the 1950s on.

Grand Rapids, Michigan, attorney and political activist. Subject files relating to his interest in state legislative apportionment, Democratic Party affairs, and Citizen Action, a Grand Rapids, Michigan, non-partisan good government organization; also photographs.

The Kleiner papers consist of approximately 15.5 feet of materials covering the years of 1949 to 1982. Most of the files are dated in the period of 1961 to 1982, however, and relate to Kleiner's interest in legislative apportionment and Democratic Party affairs. The collection came in two principal accessions, thus some file series are physically separated among different boxes.

The collection has been arranged into five series: Apportionment; Democratic Party; Photographs; Scrapbooks; and Sound Recordings.

The Arthur H. Vandenberg collection consists of 8 linear feet of materials (available on microfilm), 25 volumes of scrapbook/journals, and assorted audio and visual materials. The collection covers Vandenberg's entire career with a few folders of papers post-dating his death in 1951 relating to the dedication of memorial rooms in his honor in the 1970s. The collection is divided into four major series: Correspondence; Speeches; Campaign and Miscellaneous Topical; Clippings, Articles, and Scrapbooks; Miscellaneous and Personal; Visual Materials; and Sound Recordings.
