Papers of Kermit Krueger, a University of Michigan alumnus who served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand from 1963 to 1965 and subsequently published two books of Thai folk stories he had collected during his time in the Peace Corps. The collection reflects Krueger's experiences living in a Thai village, teaching English in Thailand, traveling the country, and visiting other Asian countries while abroad.

The papers of Kermit Krueger document the experiences of a young Peace Corps volunteer living and exploring culture in Asian villages and cities in the early 1960s. This collection contains documents and artifacts created and collected by Krueger during his service in the Peace Corps from 1963 to 1965 as well as documents created after his return to the United States that reflect on his time in Thailand. Irving Tobocman (1933-2017) was a University of Michigan alum and Birmingham, Michigan, architect whose Bauhaus-influenced works—while primarily concentrated in the Metro Detroit area—can be found throughout the world. Tobocman was active from circa 1956 to 2017. The collection documents Tobocman's professional career designing commercial, religious, and residential buildings, and includes architectural drawings, contracts, correspondence, legal documents, notes, photographs, publications, reports, and specifications.

The materials in this collection, which are dated from 1955 to 2017, include large architectural drawings—such as elevation, floor, framing, and mechanical drawings—as well as topographical surveys and smaller materials that were originally rolled with the larger drawings.
