Department of Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering is a department in the College of Engineering. This series includes brochures which describe the individual fields of study of Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, and Oceanic Science. Brochures describing programs, including graduate studies, in the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences are also included. The Aeronomy Program, which involves the study of the upper atmosphere, is also described.

The Sub-Unit Publications series contains publications from subordinate offices, departments, programs and organizations within the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences. These publications are arranged alphabetically by the creating sub-unit. The Sub-Unit Publications series includes brochures from the Michigan Solar Energy Measurement Facility. The Space Physics Research Laboratory is documented through an annual report from 1995, undated brochures, and a history written in 1993. The records of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology document the evolution and development of this department, although the documentation is far from complete. The records primarily cover two periods: 1935-1958, and 1980-1995. The records are organized into nine series: Annual Reports; Minutes; Admissions Books/Birth Records; Registers and Miscellaneous Records; Administrative Files; Medical School Review Committee; Printed Material and Photographs.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science is a teaching and research unit of the University of Michigan Medical School. Records include chairman's topical file relating to the administration and programs of the department. The majority of the documentation is from the tenure of Paul R. Lichter, although the tenures of John Henderson and Bruce Fralick are also represented. Documentation relates to the administration and programs of the department, and the construction of the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center.

The records of the University of Michigan Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science were received in two separate accessions. The first accession, received in 1994, is located in box 1. The materials received from chairman Paul R. Lichter in 2007 are located in boxes 2-5. The records consist of 5 linear feet, and are organized into two topical series: Chairman's Topical Files, 1951-1981 and Paul R. Lichter Topical Files, 1978-2003.

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science is a teaching and research unit of the University of Michigan Medical School. The collection consists of publications produced by the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science and the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center, including annual reports, newsletters, brochures and histories.

Publications are divided into two series: Unit Publications and Sub-Unit Publications.

The series Unit Publications contains a brochure and a proposal regarding the consolidation of ophthalmology services at the university into one center as well as a 1999 history "A Heritage of Excellence: The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Michigan 1872-1999." There is also a program from a concert in 1997 Symphonic Visions, celebrating the 125th anniversary.

The series Sub-Unit Publications contains annual reports, brochures, directories, newsletters and reports of the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center. The newsletter Advances in Ophthalmology begins in 2001. Dedication and groundbreaking material for the Kellogg Eye Center and the Brehm Center are also included.

Includes an annual report entitled, Twenty-Fifth Anniversary annual Report: 1963-1988, as well as bibliographies and brochures of the Kresge Hearing Research Institute.

The Department of Otolaryngology Publications contains one series: Sub-Unit Publications. In this series, the Kresge Hearing Research Institute is represented by its Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Annual Report from 1988, a bibliography from 1989/90, and several brochures. The series also includes invitations from the Communication Disorders Clinic.

Includes brochures, directories describing the research interests of the department, a history entitled "One Hundred Years of Pharmacology," newsletters, Centennial celebration programs, and reprints.

The Department of Pharmacology Publications are divided into two series: Unit Publications and Topical Publications.

The Unit Publications series contains brochures from the department, a directory of the faculty, and two issues of the Newsletter from 1990 and 1991. The department celebrated its centennial in 1991, and this series contains a program of the festivities, as well as a history written for the occasion by Henry H. Swain.

The Topical Publications series contains a development brochure published circa 1990.

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Publications are divided into two series: Unit Publications and Sub-Unit Publications.

The Publications series (0.5 linear feet, 1959 -- 2006) contains unit publications such as annual reports for the late 1980s, informational brochures, bulletins and information on residency programs. Additional materials include information on the Albert J. Silverman Research Conference and a guide to scientific publications produced by the department faculty.
