The collection is arranged into three small series: Correspondence, Studley Family, and Other Papers. Included in the collection is a scattering of correspondence, diaries, 1860 and 1873, of trip in Florida and Europe, a scrapbook, and newspaper clippings concerning the activities of the Studley family, 1855-1910.

The Ronald R. Stockton collection consists of various writings, most on topics relating to his research and teaching interests. These topics include Arab American relations, religion, historical and genealogical subjects, and articles about Kenya.

In 2000, Ronald Stockton began a journal which was intended to be read by his descendents. In it, he wrote of his daily activities interspersed with reflections on current events. In his journal, Stockton wrote of his daily activities interspersed with reflections on current events. This journal dates from 2000 to 2005 and continues with 2010. This journal is currently closed to research until 2025.

Stewart, United Presbyterian missionary in India and adjunct research investigator of the University of Michigan Herbarium, and papers of his wife, Hladia Porter Stewart, educator at Kinnaird College in Lahore and later Gordon College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The Stewart Family Collection consists of two linear feet of documents and photos relating to the life of Ralph Randles Stewart and one linear foot relating to the life and writings of Hladia Porter Stewart. Both spent most of their lives on the northern Indian subcontinent.

Papers, 1925-1979, of Charles L. Stevenson, professor of philosophy at the University of Michigan, and his wife, Louise Destler Stevenson. Correspondence with philosophers George E. Moore and Ludwig Wittgenstein; Stevenson-Destler courtship letters; student letters from Yale in the 1920's; also manuscripts and lecture notes on philosophy; diaries of Louise Stevenson; draft of her novel; and sermon books 1841, 1845-1846 of his great grandfather, the Rev. Isaac D. Williamson, New York state clergyman.

The Charles L. Stevenson papers consist of his student notebooks from Yale, Cambridge and Harvard Universities; course materials and notes for his lectures in philosophy courses at the University of Michigan and professional correspondence, including letters with Ludwig Wittgenstein and George E. Moore; professional writings; and personal and family papers. Naturalist, professor of zoology and paleontology at the University of Michigan. Autobiography and biographical material; correspondence, diaries and travelogues, and writings concerning in part his collecting expeditions for the University Museum to South America, China, the Philippines, and other parts of the Far East; also papers reflecting his thoughts on science, religion, philosophy and evolution; and photographs.

The papers of Joseph Beal Steere consist of four feet of manuscript and visual material, one oversize volume, and one oversize folder covering the years 1861-1941. The collection is organized into seven series: Autobiography/Biography, Professional and Published Correspondence, Diaries and Travelogues, Writings, Photographs, and Correspondence with family and friends (1861-1926).

Law student at University of Michigan; administrative assistant to Michigan Democratic State Senator John T. Bowman. Legislative log recounting debate over Congressional reapportionment in the Michigan Legislature; case study entitled, "Congressional Redistricting in Michigan After the 1970 Decennial Census"; and letter received by John Bowman on the subject of cross-district busing.

The George C. Steeh collection is comprised of those records created from his period of service to Senator Bowman. Included is a series of folders which Steeh labeled his "Legislative Log." Covering the period of January to May 1972, the log consists of Steeh's daily notes on Bowman's actions and maneuvers during the debate over Congressional redistricting in the State Legislature. This is followed by an extensive (174 p.) narrative and analysis of the Michigan redistricting struggle entitled, "Congressional Redistricting in Michigan after the 1970 Decennial Census: A Case Study." Steeh based his analysis upon the work he did for Bowman, a series of interviews with the principal participants in the redistricting debate, and examination of the Senate and House Journals and newspaper coverage of the debate. Beyond this, the collection includes a scattering of correspondence received by Bowman on the issue of cross-district busing.

Executive with the American Red Cross. Correspondence, diaries, reports, memoranda, and other materials relating to relief and refugee work during World War II in Italy, France, and Germany (Buchenwald), his work in re-establishing Red Cross societies in Austria, Hungary, and the Middle East after the war, and his survey of humanitarian problems resulting from the Palestinian conflict, 1948.

The Wilfrid de St. Aubin collection consists of seven feet of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other official papers covering his Red Cross work during World War II and the immediate postwar period. Of special interest is a letter and report written by St. Aubin containing his impression and observations of the Buchenwald concentration camp. St. Aubin was one of the first to come to the camp after its liberation. There are also diaries which provide added background and detail of St. Aubin's varied career.

Correspondence, personal account books, reports, military orders, student notebooks (U.S. Military Academy and Johns Hopkins University), notes and other material largely related to his scientific interests, particularly in telegraphy and trans-oceanic cables; also diaries kept while a West Point cadet, one of which contains a family history and autobiography; Ph.D. thesis in physics from Johns Hopkins University; and photographs.

The George Owen Squier papers include correspondence, personal account books, reports, military orders, student notebooks (U.S. Military Academy and Johns Hopkins University), notes and other material largely related to his scientific interests, particularly in telegraphy and trans-oceanic cables; diaries kept while a West Point cadet, one of which contains a family history and autobiography; Squier's Ph.D. thesis in physics from Johns Hopkins University; and photographs.

The Squier collection has been arranged into the following series: Correspondence; Inventions and Research; Military Career; Miscellaneous / Personal; and Education (West Point and Johns Hopkins).

Papers of the Squier family of Battle Creek, Michigan. Include letters and diary of John E. Hickman, Civil War soldier in Co. C, 13th Michigan Infantry; letters and miscellanea of Theodore L. Squier, Sr., University of Michigan undergraduate student, medical student and instructor ca. 1914-1921 and Nina La Barge Squier, student in the University of Michigan Nurses' Training Program, 1919-1920; and letters and miscellanea of several family members who served in WWII. Also some records of the American Manufacturing Company of Battle Creek, Michigan.

The Squier Family Papers are organized into nine series, eight series of documents related to specific members or branches of the family and one series of photographs.
