General, 1967-2002 comprises primarily biographical and background information about Maassab. It also contains one folder of indexes to reference files. These indexes were originally stored along with the reference materials listed on them in plastic magazine holders in Maassab's office. During processing of the collection, the articles were not retained but the indices were kept as evidence of the extensive reference files.
General Administrative Records, 1984-2017
The General Administrative Records series (9.8 linear feet, 1 oversize box, 2 tubes, 2 oversize folders, and 651 MB) includes central administrative materials from the Zingerman's Community of Businesses. The series contains strategic planning documents about the development of the Community of Businesses model and a copy of the Zingerman's 2020 plan, a vision for the company in the year 2020. Other materials include employee handbooks and training documents, newsletters, and a selection of advertisements and clippings.
The series also contains visual materials including photographs of Zingerman's locations, employees, and events. The series also features a selection of graphic designs used in Zingerman's advertising and architectural drawings of Zingerman's Cornman Farms and Zingerman's Roadhouse.

Program Files, 1979-1999
Program Files, 1979-1999 subseries includes annual progress reports, 1990-1994, and committee minutes and records including the Operating Subcommittee, 1987-1997, GCRC Advisory Committee, 1998-1999, and annual Policy Committee, 1978-1996. Other administrative material includes floor plans and applications for a gene therapy human applications lab. The folder "Racial/Ethnic Information" gives statistical profiles of the racial composition of GCRC patients, 1990-1994.

Visual Materials, Circa 1920-1931, 1998
The Visual Materials series (1.75 linear feet, 1 oversize folder) is organized by genre. This series contains a box of glass lantern slides, loose photographs and photographic postcards, as well as seven photograph albums that document the Blydenburgh family's experiences in China. Generally, the subjects of the photographic media in this series are individual and group portraits, interiors and exteriors of dwellings, as well as various modes of transportation. Additional subjects include tourism and travel documenting landscapes and landmarks; life in cities, towns, and the country; and the Nanchang General Hospital (also known as the Susan Toy Ensign Memorial Hospital).
Additional subjects are present in the photograph albums. Of note is documentation of the Nanchang city wall being pulled down in 1926, which is in the third album, Nanchang, Kiangsi, China. In the fourth album, which is untitled and undated, there are architectural drawings and a photograph of a stone house designed by George Blydenburgh and built in Kuling, in the Methodist Mission. The sixth album, Refugee Book No. 1 contains photographs of the Blydenburgh family's time spent in Shanghai, China; Nagasaki, Japan; and Korea after being evacuated from Nanchang in March 1927. Also included in this album is a photograph with the caption "Major General Duncan reviewing British troops just arriving across the Garden Bridge, Shanghai, Spring 1927." The seventh album, Refugee Book No. 2 contains photographs documenting the Blydenburgh family's time spent in Mukden (Shenyang), Peking (Beijing), Tientsin (Tianjin), and Peitaiho (Beidaihe) including photographs of the Great Wall of China.
One oversize panoramic photograph of approximately 150 adults and children, which was given to George and Marion Blydenburgh by the Nanchang Auxiliary Committee in April 1931, is part of the Visual Materials series. Also part of this series are color prints made in 1998 that are copies of glass lantern slides from circa 1920-1931. The glass lantern slides are arranged in eight partitions and two cartons mirroring their physical arrangement in their original box. Furthermore, the Visual Materials series includes six scrolls featuring calligraphy, painting, and woodblock prints, two of which are both titled 2 men in boat in storm - Man on shore - Wood Block - Black & White.
Memorial Book, 1919-2012
The Memorial Book series contains a memorial scrapbook created by Falk's family after his death to honor his life and memory. The book features a narrative about his childhood, wartime experiences and post-war life in Milford, Michigan. Much of the narrative information was compiled from an interview with Falk's sister Eva in 2012. The collection includes both a print version of the book, as well as digital copies of each page of the book.

Church of Saint Martin Expeditions (Angers, France), 1912-2015 (majority within 1929-1951)
The Church of Saint Martin Expeditions (Angers, France) series documents the expeditions led by George Forsyth between 1926 and 1936 to Angers, France, to excavate the Church of Saint Martin, built in the ninth century by the son of Charlemagne. Forsyth led several expeditions to St. Martin resulting in the discovery of rare religious artifacts and important architectural data published in The Church of St. Martin at Angers: The architectural history of the site from the Roman Empire to the French Revolution. The excavations in collaboration with William A. Campbell.
The series is arranged in four subseries: Correspondence, Field Work, Visual Materials, and Publication Activities. Materials include field notebooks detailing excavation activities, notes, drawings, and reference material; visual materials such as measured drawings, photographs of the church exterior and interior, and 162 envelopes of negatives of excavation activities; and annotated manuscript drafts, correspondence, and printed materials related to publication efforts. Files in each subseries are arranged alphabetically.
Michigan-Princeton-Alexandria Expeditions to Saint Catherine's Monastery (Mount Sinai, Egypt), 1940-2016 (majority within 1954-1999)
The Michigan-Princeton-Alexandria Expeditions to Saint Catherine's Monastery (Mount Sinai, Egypt) series comprises the bulk of the collection. This series is arranged into five subseries: Correspondence, Travel Preparations, Field Work, Visual Materials, and Publication Activities. The Michigan-Princeton-Alexandria Expeditions are typically referred to as "Mt. Sinai" and occurred in four campaigns in 1958, 1960, 1963, and 1965. Materials of particular note include correspondence with Kurt Weitzmann, of Princeton University who co-led the expeditions, and Fred Anderegg, UM director of photography; trip preparatory materials such as equipment lists and medical supply information; field notebooks (two volumes); full-scale architectural drawings of the monastery and surrounding fortress, which were cataloged during Ilene's posthumous publication efforts (Box 9); and extensive repurposed source material, such as photographs, negatives, drawings, and field notes, reproduced and annotated for various publication activities.
