Detroit, Michigan, architect; 1934 graduate of the University of Michigan. Biographical material and descriptions of his architectural work, including photographs; also photographs taken during World War II and report of U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey on Wake Island, Marshall Islands, and Rabaul, New Britain.

A large part of this collection is made up of black and white slides taken during World War II in the South Pacific and color slides taken in 1945 and 1946 during the Strategic Bombing Survey of Wake Island, the Marshall Islands, and Rabaul, New Britain. The collection does not include any information as to whether Gabler was the actual photographer. The slides are identified by a topical code system, which is deciphered as much as possible in this finding aid. Some of the slides are mounted in cardboard mounts and are stored in folders, the rest in glass and metal mounts and stored in a metal box. The finding aid indicates the locations for each topical code.

The book The Allied Campaigns Against Wake Island, the Marshall Islands and Rabaul, New Britain: A Photographic Record, included with the collection, parallels the topics of the slides taken during the Strategic Bombing Survey, but does not duplicate any of the pictures in the slide files.

Records of car dealerships owned by the Dalgleish family of Detroit, Michigan. Advertising and customer service material, photographs, selected business records, and artifacts. The collection is of special interest to researchers of Detroit business community and to the U.S. automobile industry and trade historians. Collection is especially rich with material related to auto advertising, particularly, the Cadillac.

The Dalgleish Cadillac Oldsmobile collection encompasses the history of the family-owned business from the 1930s through the 2010s. Depending on the time period and particular marketing campaigns, Dalgleish dealership appeared in advertising material and customer service mailings as Charles Dalgleish Cadillac, Dalgleish Cadillac, Dalgleish Oldsmobile Cadillac, and Dalgleish Peugeot. Organization of material follows the company's history, transformations, and changes of name. The collection is organized into five series: Charles H. Dalgleish, Sr., Charlie's Nash, Inc., Charlie's Oldsmobile, Dalgleish Dealerships, and Advertising Material.

Collected materials relating to Harry Burnett, who with Forman G. Brown and Roddy Brandon were the three openly gay partners forming the Yale Puppeteers and who operated the Turnabout Theater in Hollywood. Also, materials related to Leo Burnett, an advertising executive, and other Burnett family members. The collection includes correspondence, diaries, photographs, drawings, clippings, and ephemera.

Daniel R. Sivil was active in the gay and lesbian civil rights and advocacy movement of the 1980s. b He was a founding member of the Michigan Organization for Human Rights and president of the Association of Suburban People, a gay-lesbian organization devoted to social and political activity. Files relating to organizational and advocacy efforts; correspondence with Henry Messer and other activists; and photographs.

The papers of Daniel Ross Sivil provide insight into the gay and lesbian civil rights and advocacy movement of the early 1980s on both a personal and professional level. Sivil's writings and correspondence with peers demonstrates the joys and difficulties of presiding over a grassroots gay and lesbian organization (including fundraising, attracting members, and competing with similar organizations) and lobbying for gay rights in general. The papers have been divided into three series; Activities, Correspondence, and Photographs.

The Fort Pontchartrain Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was authorized on February 7, 1916 in Highland Park, Michigan with Mrs. Ward Garett as organizing secretary. The Elizabeth Cass Chapter was organized in 1942 in Grosse Pointe Farms. Because of diminishing membership, the two chapters merged in 1990, becoming the Fort Pontchartrain-Elizabeth Cass Chapter.

The record group is divided into three series: Fort Pontchartrain Chapter, 1916-1990; Elizabeth Cass Chapter, 1942-1990; and the Fort Pontchartrain-Elizabeth Cass Chapter. Fort Pontchartrain Chapter records include minutes, regent reports, history, by-laws, charter, chapter history and other materials relating to its activities. Elizabeth Cass Chapter records include minutes, by-laws, correspondence, clippings, genealogy, and a photograph of a portrait of Elizabeth Cass. Fort Pontchartrain-Elizabeth Cass Chapter includes minutes, and other records of the combined chapter.

The records of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Michigan document its organization, history, and activities. As the state society of the DAR, the organization also collected material on the activities of the various local chapters.
