Series C: Speeches and Writings consists of articles, speeches, lectures, book reviews, and poetry written by Tate. Most articles and speeches relate to microphotographic and photographic topics, although a few relate to Tate's personal interest in Mexican history, naval history, and other nautical topics.

Major writings and speeches are arranged by year and thereunder alphabetically, with separate sequences at the end for book reviews, poetry, and miscellaneous writings.

This Gull Calendars, 1946-1986 series contains desk and pocket calendars showing Gulls' appointments and meetings. No calendars are included for the years 1949 to 1951 and 1956. The series is arranged chronologically.

The Electronic Information Systems for Libraries--Classified Literature as Arranged by Cloyd Dake Gull, 1941-1972 Series contains articles, reports, and professional papers collected by Gull. The bulk of the file contains materials from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Topics include the history of information retrieval; principles, limits, and equipment of information systems; systems analysis for libraries; and the design, construction, and installation of electronic information systems for libraries. The series is arranged by subject according to a numerical classification scheme devised by Gull.
