Mentions the election between Adamson Tannehill (1750-1820) and Captain Foster for General, bemoaning Tannehill's victory "…it is to be lamented that polliticks prevaild again[s]t Millatiry abillities." Uncertain if they will be sent to Buffalo or Cleveland. Notes his cousin William Irwin serving as a surgeon's mate. Acknowledges Samuel Williams's account of the "Escape of Captain Crush's Company."
