The Non-Postcard Items series contains brochures, booklets, and calendars produced by the Penrod/Hiawatha Company. The brochures are mainly advertisements for tourist attractions or services and are grouped alphabetically by city. The booklets focus on items of historical or scenic significance. The calendar collection contains several series of calendars dating from 1972. Each calendar usually has a different scenic theme.

The Non-Penrod/Hiawatha Postcards series is comprised of postcards produced in the 1950s and 1960s by various companies that were eventually purchased by John Penrod. They are arranged alphabetically by city. General postcards of non-specific Michigan locations follow the city listing.
