The Printed material series includes newsletters and other publications of the Michigan Synod.

The Church files series is the largest in the Synod record group. Except for files of parochial and pastors reports, the series is arranged alphabetically by city, then name of church. The files include communications between the individual church and the Synod, financial and other reports required by the Synod, anniversary and other programs of events, and collected information. In the case of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of Detroit, the files also includes record books maintained by the church.
