3M

The 3M series largely consists of internal memoranda between 3M staff. The 3M correspondence covers several central themes including: Kruger's standards activities with AIIM, ANSI, and ISO; discussion about how and to what extent 3M should be involved in standard-setting organizations; and exchanges about what standards are used in 3M's international divisions. An invitation and booklet for a 3M awards banquet also forms part of the correspondence, memos, and circulated writings group. Correspondents represented in the 3M series include: Kurt Dormann, J. Hensel, James Hollinger, Dale Rupp, and T. J. Sonnonstine. While the correspondence mostly consists of paper, 6 microfilm cartridges also make up part of the series. Additional materials in the series include a listing of significant 3M micrographic patents, a John Deere micrographic standards manual, and a draft of a presentation Kruger gave on standards.

Personal

The Personal series consists of material related to Kruger's career and achievements. A highlight of the series is a scrapbook that through photographs, correspondence, cards, and other materials, record Kruger's achievements as well the collegial culture of 3M's Micrographic Products Laboratory. Kruger's many professional awards, some mounted on plaques, ephemera from conferences, an address and business card file, and material from a University of Wisconsin course form the other central part of this series.
