White was a prolific writer and copies (including drafts and reprints) are included in the collection. A detailed bibliography of his books and articles is appended to this finding aid. The Writings series includes many of White's unpublished writings, drafts of writings to which White often appended brief notes written at the time the materials came to the library, and early drafts of published materials. Copies of most of White's books and articles will be found in the Published Materials series. In addition, this series includes reviews of White's writing, White's reviews of works by other anthropologists, and correspondence exchange with publishers about his various books and other writings. A bibliography of White's writings is appended to this finding aid.
