The Crisler papers document Fritz Crisler's career in athletics, 1923-1978, as a student athlete at the University of Chicago, football coach at Minnesota, Princeton and Michigan, as Athletic Director at Michigan and as a member of the NCAA football rules committee, 1942-1977. The football material includes coach's notebooks containing records of staff and squad meetings, field work, and notes and comments on actual games; plays and practice notes containing details of the football squad's daily practice sessions and play diagrams; and several topical files.
