Included in the Hartland Project series are hundreds of prints, slides, negatives, and draft materials that became part of Galbraith's book Hartland: Change in the Heart of America. The folders containing inventories are indicated in the contents list, with the majority of photographs taken in the years just before the book's publication. Folders are arranged according to their format as prints, negatives, and slides.
