Scrapbooks and newspaper clippings is a series that includes volumes of chronologically arranged newspaper accounts of Potter and his activities, and other volumes containing copies of press releases, speeches, newsletters, and radio and television broadcasts.

The final series - Visual Materials - includes both photographs and motion pictures. These materials related primarily to Potter's political career, including photos of Joseph McCarthy's investigating committee, photos and campaign commercials from the 1956 and 1958 elections, photos and a film relating to physically handicapped people, and a film of a singing group promoting the St. Lawrence Seaway.
