Swinburne Research and Collecting
The Swinburne Research and Collecting series consists of research on Swinburne by modern scholars. The series is comprised mainly of the notes and correspondence of Lowell Kerr. Correspondents include Cecil Lang and John S. Mayfield, as well as rare book and manuscript dealers. Most important in this series are the various drafts of the Kerr catalog of the Swinburne collection. (Further explanation of the Kerr catalog follows.) Also of note are copies, made by Kerr, of typed transcripts of Swinburne manuscripts (mainly unpublished) from the Brotherton Library at the University of Leeds in Leeds, England. Some material created by Swinburne scholar Cecil Lang also exists. This material was given to Kerr by Professor Lang.
