The Printed Material series encompasses newspaper clippings, pamphlets, periodical articles and stories, and other printed ephemera pertaining to Swinburne and his circle. Some of the items are published writings by Swinburne, but most feature him or his work as the subject. Works contemporary to Swinburne predominate, but more recent material is present as well. Much of the older Swinburne-related material comes from a scrapbook kept, according to Lowell Kerr, by Alice Boyd of Penkill Castle, Ayreshire, Scotland. Also included in this series are clippings and ephemerae associated with Theodore Watts-Dunton.
