Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Comerica Bank, author of the bank's monthly business brochure, regular commentator on local and national radio and TV programs. The collection includes publications, speeches, and correspondence.

Through writings and speeches, the David Littmann collection provides a look into the state of Michigan's economy, especially as it relates to tax policy and the automobile industry, from 1974 to 2014. The collection is divided into eight series: Biographical, Correspondence, Manuscripts, Publications, Press, Speeches, Audio Visual, and Publications/Press Additions.

The Harvey Brazer papers provide some documentation of his research activities and service on various university committees and in professional organizations. The files include correspondence, memoranda, reports and other material relating research on taxation, government expenditure and tax policy and his participation in a number of study commissions and citizens organizations including the Census Advisory Committee on State and Local Government Statistics, 1967-1969, Citizens' Income Tax Study Committee of Detroit, 1960-1961 and the National Committee on Tax Justice, 1969- 1970 .

Grand Rapids, Michigan family, involved in furniture making and other businesses, also active in local state and Republican Party politics and businessmen's associations. Papers include family papers and correspondence, business records, scrapbooks and visual materials.

The Sligh family collection consists of the personal and business papers of the four generations of Slighs mentioned in the biographical introduction: James W. Sligh, Charles R. Sligh, Charles R. Sligh, Jr., and Robert L. Sligh. Although there is some overlap, the files have been arranged into seven series, one for each of these three Slighs, one for the Sligh Furniture Company and related family businesses, and one each for Newspaper clippings and Scrapbooks, and Visual Materials.
