Ann Arbor peace activist during the Vietnam War era; correspondence and other materials relating to her activities within peace organizations.

The collection includes correspondence, newsletters, printed material, and newspaper clippings concerning the Women Strike for Peace, the House Un-American Activities Committee, the National Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam, disarmament, the draft, civil defense and fallout shelters. The collection has been arranged into the following series: Ann Arbor Women for Peace; Women Strike for Peace; Peace Issues; and Surveillance Files.

Transcripts and cassette tapes of oral interviews conducted by students in class on the Vietnam War.

The collection consists of transcripts and cassette tapes made by students in the class on the Vietnam War taught by University of Michigan professor Norman Owen. The interviewees were members of the military, Vietnamese refugees, draft resisters, and anti-war activists. There is also a smaller series of files relating to Vietnam War veterans affairs.

Three of the interviewees requested that they remain anonymous in any publication made from their words. These interviews require that the researcher sign a statement of confidentiality.

S. Senator from New York, 1923-1938. Personal and medical correspondence, speeches, scrapbooks containing food and health articles, photographs, and other papers concerning his medical and political interests. Correspondents include: Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Eleanor Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Alfred E. Smith.

The Royal Copeland collection, consisting primarily of correspondence, speeches and writings, scrapbooks, and articles, relates primarily to Copeland's medical career as professor of homeopathic medicine at the University of Michigan, dean of the New York Homeopathic Medical College and Flower Hospital, and New York City Commissioner of Public Health, and as United States Senator.
