Detroit, Michigan, businessman, researcher and analyst of the automotive and related industry; papers include correspondence, topical files, and other material documenting his Wall Street career and his management of Arvid Jouppi Associates.

The Arvid Jouppi Papers (24 linear feet) are primarily comprised of materials which document his Wall Street career and his management of Arvid Jouppi Associates. There are only limited materials related to his professional life prior to his tenure at Hayden, Stone. The collection is particularly strong in documenting the everyday work, research findings, and economic philosophy of one of Wall Street's leading automobile industry analysts; the difficulties, at times, of developing and running an independent research services firm (AJA); and the economic vicissitudes of the fields, particularly the automotive field, in which Jouppi was interested and conducted research.

The Jouppi Papers came to the Bentley Historical Library with only minimal arrangement. The papers had been transferred between Jouppi's offices and home several times and much of the original order of the materials was lost in the process. What remained were materials roughly arranged by chronological stage of Jouppi's professional career. That order has been retained. The papers consist of seven series: Personal; Chronological; Early Career; Hayden, Stone; William C. Roney and Company; Delafield Childs, Inc.; Arvid Jouppi Associates; and Writings. For each series in which there is a correspondence subseries, the correspondence is both incoming and outgoing unless otherwise noted on the contents list, and chronological files of correspondence are arranged by month and year. For each series in which there is a topical subseries, the files are arranged alphabetically.

Democratic senator from Michigan, the longest-serving U.S. senator (served between 1979 and 2015). The collection documents Carl M. Levin's 36-year career in the U.S. Senate including his service on the Senate Armed Service Committee, Government and Homeland Security, Subcommittee on Oversight of Government Management, Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Great Lakes Task Force, among other leadership positions. Papers include correspondence, speeches, writings, newspaper clippings, legislative and committee files, campaign materials, photographs, audiovisual materials, and other records documenting his personal life and political career.

The collection documents the personal life and political career of Carl M. Levin including his 36-year career as U.S. Senator from Michigan (1979-2015). The papers include school activities, personal correspondence, materials from Levin's work on the Michigan Civil Rights Commission and Detroit City Council, and campaign materials such as speeches, interviews, platform and planning documents, constituent research, candidate research, financial documents, correspondence, photographs, and audiovisual materials.

The bulk of papers document Levin's tenure in the U.S. Senate including legislative and committee files, correspondence, memoranda, briefing books, background information, schedules, bills, printed materials, press clippings, speeches, writings, photographs, Levin's archived website, social media, and audiovisual materials.

The papers of David E. Cole document his activities as the Director of the Office for the Study of Transportation (OSAT) and his consulting work. This collection contains nine series: University of Michigan; Associations and Government; Company Files; Correspondence; Research; Speaking Engagements; Publications, Papers and Clippings; Topical Files; and Audio-Visual Material.

Research papers on topics relating to Michigan history and the history of the University of Michigan written by students in the History Department Undergraduate Honors Program.

Student papers, 1930-1987 prepared for classes in history at the University of Michigan (primarily Michigan history class taught by Lewis G. VanderVelde, but also including research papers for classes taught by Sidney Fine and others); topics concern Michigan social and political history; Michigan biography and bibliography; and local community history.

The student papers are organized alphabetically by author in two series, which are similar in date range and topics covered. The papers of Frederic G. Donner consist of .75 linear feet of materials dating from 1921 to 1983. The collection is arranged by type of material, and then chronologically. The series of the collection include Biographical Material, Addresses, Writings, Savings-Stock Purchase Program, and Photographs.

Chief of engineering research at the Chrysler Corporation; correspondence, speeches, articles by and about him, photographs, and miscellanea.

The Huebner collection consists of a single series of speeches, articles, and biographical materials. Also included are three folders of photographs which include photographs of Huebner and his wife Gertrude Huebner; photographs of Huebner with automobiles having gas turbine engines; and photographs of Huebner with other automotive executives and engineers. One of the photos is of Wernher Von Braun.

The Harbour collection concerns his work as an analyst of the automobile industry. In addition to copies of The Harbour Report, the collection includes newspaper and magazine articles written by Harbour or containing references to him, and files pertaining to his participation at automobile related conferences. Also of interest are various promotional and related materials surrounding the publication of his book Factory Man.

Jim Dunne is known for his work as a pioneer in automotive spy photography. He is also an established journalist and author, and conducted automotive performance tests and reviews of new vehicles for many years. The collection, spanning 1969-2011, includes his book Car Spy: Secret Cars Exposed by the Industry's Most Notorious Photographer, magazines containing his photographic work, articles written by him, and awards and recognitions. A large portion of the collection is made up of visual materials, which consists of photographs, slides, negatives, digital materials containing images of automobiles he included in his book, and a digital slideshow presentation featuring his work.

The Jim Dunne collection mostly consists of publications and visual materials from across his career, including articles written by and about him, photographs, negatives, and some digital materials. The series in this collection are: Publications, Visual Materials, Recognitions, and Miscellaneous.

Chrysler Corporation executive. Speeches, clippings, photographs and articles by or about Townsend and the Chrysler Corporation.

The Lynn Township papers consist of materials relating to his public relation role on behalf of the Chrysler Corporation. The collection consists of speeches, clippings and magazine with articles by and about Townsend, and a scrapbook given to him in recognition of his work with the Economic Growth Council of Detroit. The photographs in the collection are of Townsend with political figures and celebrities, inspecting Chrysler plants overseas, and participating in various social functions.
