The collection consists of speeches, clippings and magazine with articles by and about Townsend, and a scrapbook given to him in recognition of his work with the Economic Growth Council of Detroit. The photographs in the collection are of Townsend with political figures and celebrities, inspecting Chrysler plants overseas, and participating in various social functions.
