Douglas Kelbaugh is an architect and professor known for his work in passive solar energy and urban design. He has taught at multiple institutions including the University of Washington and the University of Michigan (U-M). Kelbaugh was instrumental in growing U-M's College of Architecture, has published six books and various other articles and chapters, and has served on a variety of university, state, and national boards. The majority of the materials in this collection are architectural drawings of various buildings designed by Kelbaugh. Other materials include photographs, charrettes from his work at the University of Washington's Department of Architecture, articles, and a talk given by Kelbaugh summarizing his career and detailing his work in urban design and planning.

The Douglas Kelbaugh papers are a selection of materials documenting the work of architect and professor of architecture Douglas Kelbaugh over the course of his career. The majority of the materials in this collection are architectural drawings of various buildings designed by Kelbaugh. Robert M. Beckley papers, 1958-2012 (majority within 1978-2011)

Architect, urban planner, professor and dean of the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, 1987-1997. Records include teaching files, urban design projects in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Bellevue, Washington; and Lake Oswego, Oregon; work with the Genesee Institute and County Land Bank in Michigan; articles; technical and preparatory drawings.

The papers of Robert M. Beckley measure 4.0 linear feet and date from 1958 to 2012. The bulk of materials are from 1978 to 2011. The collection is comprised of articles, drawings and reports, but little correspondence. It includes theoretical and applied material relating to urban design, created as a student in the University of Cincinnati and in the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, as dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and as private consultant. The papers contain five series: Biographical, Articles, Lectures and Writings, Applied Works, University of Michigan and Genesee Institute and Genesee County Land Bank.
