Biographical / Historical:

William T. Scott was born in England in 1812. He married Charlotte Wise, who was born in 1817, and together they lived in Geneva, New York, where William worked as a teller and banker. They had at least three children: Frances (b. ca. 1845), Anna (b. ca. 1847), and William (b. ca. 1852). Charlotte W. Scott died in 1868, and William T. Scott died in 1888. They are both buried in the Washington Street Cemetery in Geneva, New York.

Henry Barden was born in Ontario County, New York, in 1806, and received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York City, in 1833. He worked as a homeopathetic physician, moving to Penn Yan, New York, around 1840. He died in 1871 in Penn Yan, New York.
