Abstract:
Stephen Hopkins, Governor, calls a General Assembly for March 30, 1761 in response to letters from Secretary Pitt and General Amherst "calling on the Colony to raise for His Majesty's Service for the ensuing Campaign two thirds of the Number of Men which were raised in this Colony the Year past." Orders the sheriff to inform members of the Council and Assembly in his county. Includes a signed note on the verso by Step[hen] Arnold, Sheriff, that he fulfilled the order.
