Abstract:
Has presented McKenney's letter to Colonel John McKee and explained its contents to "my Red people and to a Chief Talking Warrior." Notes general pleasure with the contents of the letter and his intention to present it to the Choctaw Nation at an upcoming council. Acknowledges the message that the United States government intends friendship and wishes to see "the Red p[e]ople improving." Hopes for schools to be established and to visit McKenney and other government officials in the East. Would like to bring ten Choctaw boys to the Foreign Mission School. Believes it disadvantageous for the Choctaw to trade away their land. (Original in Native American Collection)
