The Ann Arbor Area Fair Housing Association (AAAFHA) made efforts to eliminate housing discrimination in the Ann Arbor, Michigan region. This series contains information about their work fighting racial discrimination at Pittsfield Village in 1961-1962.
The Negotiations folders contain information about processes through which AAAFHA attempted to fight discrimination. The Notes folder includes hand written notes. Negotiations - Correspondence contains letters related to anti-discrimination actions, as well as letters to Mr. Leonard Reaume whose company ran Pittsfield Village. Meetings consists of reports from meetings and interviews related to housing negotiations. The Policy folder contains information about the housing policy at Pittsfield Village and the requests of AAAFHA.

The Demonstrations - Correspondence folder includes letters about the racial discrimination at Pittsfield Village and demonstration activities. The Logistics folder contains demonstration schedules and instructions, as well as procedures for marching.
The Correspondence folder includes letters from Anna Holden, AAAFHA secretary, to various supporters and entities, including the Greater Detroit Fair Housing Practices Committee. It also contains letters by other AAAFHA members and supporters. The Newspaper Clippings, Press Releases, and Flyers folders all hold items related to publicity and advertising the Pittsfield Village discrimination, demonstrations, and activities. The Council of Churches Documents folder contains survey results of Pittsfield Village and related correspondence and publicity. The Pittsfield Village Documents folder includes information about Pittsfield Village such as a list of officers, a newsletter, and correspondence. It also contains a report written by AAAFHA about the discrimination at Pittsfield village, a notice by the Greater Detroit Fair Housing Practices Committee, and a list of organizations supporting AAAFHA.
