Includes general instructions for preparing fish; over 250 fish recipes; advertisements for Eider Down Strictly Pure Codfish, Gold Wedge Fibered Codfish, Bonnie Scotch Smoked Bloaters, and Flaked Red Cross Smoked Halibut; list of brands under which Shute & Merchants' products are packed; poem "A trip to Georges Bank" describing fishing trip; serving suggestion and product packaging illustrations; and index. Some recipes include wine as an ingredient. Sample recipes: clams au gratin, rissoles of cooked fish, trout a la Chambord.
